Presko Baby

It's summer all right, and kids like little J are raring to play—outdoors!  Good thing, there's Johnson's Baby products to keep him fresh all day long.
IMG_3160

Little J and I were invited to Johnson's Baby Presko Play event, but apparently, little J is too young to enjoy the activities prepared by the team.  But we still stayed for a few minutes to see what Johnson's prepared for that afternoon.

Selecta chocolate drinks were served—yummy!
IMG_3166

You can have your photo taken for free, if you buy P60 worth of Johnson's products.  Not bad!
IMG_3165

Left little J and our nanny to eat at Trellis, which was right across the event.  We always bring a bag of his toys to keep him pre-occupied.

Thanks to Azkals, football has been a trending topic, with kids learning to play the sport.  Futkal is one of those groups that are helping these kids get into the sport.  I kinda like the concept, wherein you can play football anywhere, even on the street.  Hence the name Futkal (football = Fut; kalye = street).  Here are the Futkaleros, ready to teach the kids how to play football:

Can't wait for little J to start "training" on his fave sport ;)

Thanks for the invite, J&J team :)

Slow Sunday

Since little J has the colds, we decided to stay home.   But despite having (slight) colds, he still went out and played:
IMG_3181

He was also playing with his RC car that hubby was in control of, and little J slipped :( He landed on his face, bull's eye on the nose :(  I tried taking a photo of him, all dirty, and got this instead :D  Despite falling hard, he didn't cry and make a big fuss over his accident.  I'm might proud of our big boy :D
IMG_3182

Here's another shot on his way up to his room to take a shower.  Can you see the dirt all over? :(
IMG_3183

Then lunch arrive, from Shakey's.  It's been a while since we've had Shakey's delivered.  Pretty cool that we can now pay with our credit card, too ;)
Had their latest Angus pizza—pretty good!  And we got the pepperoni pizza for free (because of their card).
IMG_3185

Had Mojos as well.  How I've missed this!
IMG_3184

Got little J spaghetti, which he made him full and sleepy.
IMG_3186

After about two hours, he was up and running.  Yaya (nanny) changed his diaper into this  "Winnie the Pooh" pull-up diaper by Huggies that my friend based in the U.S., Christine, gave us to try. Thanks, Christine :D  Hope you're doing well there :)
IMG_3193

We left for dinner at my in-laws and had KFC.  Gaaaah!!! Hubby said today was junk food day, I totally agree :o  Remember little J falling on his face?  His nose was apparently burned :(  Now, he looks like Rudolph, the Red Nose Reindeer.  Yaya (the nanny) says he looks like a bunny now. Awwww...
IMG_3205

But that didn't stop him from having fun with his other cousins.  They spent so much time playing with grandma's new toy set of drums.
IMG_3220

I've been looking for musical toys for our little man, and this is one of those.  My mom-in-law bought it in 168 mall (in Chinatown), so I guess I'll be off on another trip there next weekend ;)

Happy to See Bia

Bumped into Bianca Santiago-Reinoso on my way out of the store earlier this week.
IMG_3133

So happy to see her again. She started out as a student stylist under my section for Chalk magazine, became our Associate Fashion Editor for Pink magazine, and is now the Fashion Editor of Chalk and Maven magazines.  She's also styling celebrities for their shows in ABS-CBN.

I'm so proud of her.  Not only is she a super nice lady, she's very good at her craft as well.  It's always heartwarming to see my "discoveries" blossom and become successful.  Keep it up, Bia :D

Little J loves Stride Rite

I am very picky when it comes to searching for the perfect pair for little J.  You start them young; you make them appreciate what a soft and comfy pair can do to one's feet.  Stride Rite is one of those places we trust for little J's shoes.
IMG_2444

I appreciate that the store stocked up with toys to keep the kids pre-occupied.
IMG_2450

The only problem was, little J didn't want to leave hehe...
IMG_2456

IMG_2475

Took a while, but we were able to step out of the store with little J's new shoes.

*Stride Rite is located at the 5th floor of SM Megamall, Atrium.

JJ wants B!

Jollibee, that is... Hubby and I can't comprehend why kids love Jollibee more than any other mascot.  Someone once explained to me why both Barney and Jollibee are adored by the kids—it's because they mimic the movements of the toddlers.  They're a bit unstable and wobbly, if you get what I mean.  What do you think of this notion?

Anyways,  because little J loves Jollibee, we decided to have lunch there last Saturday:
IMG_2976

We wanted to buy on our way out, but the kid selling the balloons were nowhere to be found...
IMG_2973

We had their set meals at P99 each, comes with drink and dessert—not bad!
IMG_2977

Little J spent a lot of time in the Kiddie Playground.  Two thumbs up for Jollibee, E. Rodriguez, QC ;)
IMG_3009

We let him play on his own for a while...
IMG_2993

IMG_2994

I eventually joined in, since I wanted to bring him up and inside the tube.  Here we go :)
IMG_3006

...and we're up!
IMG_3007

... and out :D
IMG_3008

Now, if only we can have one of these tubular playgrounds at home haha... Too expensive and there's not space for this big a kiddie set ;)  Anyways, we will be back soon to let little J play again :D

Big Boy is All Wrapped Up

While I was watching TV in Little J's room, our little man took a shower and came out in this:
IMG_2928

I normally wrap (the towel on) him myself, but I was engrossed with the series that I forgot to do so.  Anyways, isn't he just adorable? All wrapped up and extra hug-able hihi...
IMG_2930

He was "busy" watching some kiddie commercial when I took this photo.  Hence, the no-looking-at-the-camera pose :D

BTW, just wanted to share an update on our main man: Little J just had his check-up last Wednesday, and our pedia said that his weight and height is that of a 3-year-old.  I hope he continues to grow big and strong ;)

Kiddie Time

I find great joy and happiness in seeing little J smiling.  All the more, at a birthday party we attended yesterday.  He was jumping a lot, and stomping his feet—enjoying every second of it.  I can't wait for him to start talking as he shares his thoughts with us :D

IMG_2834

We've been attending quite a lot of birthday parties, and I realized it's not just the kids who enjoy the shows, it's parents like us as well.  I took a video of one of the segments, just to give you an idea of what kiddie parties are like... for those who aren't parents yet ;)

And the best thing about these birthday parties? The kiddie food brings back such great memories ;) with Starbucks coffee to match for the adults present ;)  Though I don't drink coffee, my friends were all happy with seconds and even third servings hehe...
IMG_2856

I'm always behind the camera, taking photos of little J and hubby.  Thankfully, the photographer for that party and I are friends, so he was able to take a few shots of our family :D

Yipee! Thanks, Jed (photographer)

Oh, and another thing that's making little J happy are these balloons we brought home from the party yesterday ;)

P.S. He was playing with these when I got home from work today.

A New Hue

With my line of "work," trying out new products and services is part of the job.  But if I had a choice, Louis Kee is the person I run to for my hair needs.  So, in preparation for our Makati opening, I had my hair colored last weekend—I had more-than-six-inch re-growth already ewwww...

It can't be seen much in this photo, but my hair has already turned a dull shade of brown :o
IMG_2777

Louis Kee (in photo) shared that the trend for Spring is violets/purples/lavender.  I was elated to find out that I'll be trying something "new" and not the usual browns, golds and reds.  It's been a while since I got highlights, so I was pretty much excited to see the final results ;)
IMG_2781

His team gave me a hair spa as well to keep my locks moisturized and vibrant.  Here's the result :D
IMG_2782

Here's another photo of me taken last Wednesday when I met up with DJ Chopper of Magic 89.9 at the store.  My hair looks raven black here, with subtle highlights of lavender brown; but when light reflects on my locks, it looks purplish brown (as seen in photo above)—loves it!   Thank you again, Louis :D
IMG_2582

Stressful month for me, but it's also very exciting!  A few more weeks to go before we open Forever 21 Makati.  Fight! ;)

* Louis Kee salon is located at the ground floor of One McKinley Place, 5th Avenue corner 25th Street, The Fort, Bonifacio, Taguig. For inquiries and appointments, call 856-3388 and 856-4848. It also has a branch in 59 Connecticut St., North East, Greenhills San Juan. Telephone number: 721-4848

Kris Aquino Visits F21

Got a text from Kris (yes! THE Kris Aquino) last Friday asking for my reco on when is the best time to shop.  For those of you who don't know, I used to handle her magazine.  It's been 2.5 years since we've seen each other, so I was pretty excited to catch up with her.

Anyways, back to the text.  I replied and suggested that she should go to the store on a weekday... first thing in the morning.  She replied and we set the "shopping schedule" on Monday 10a.m., which was yesterday.
IMG_2799

Kris had a great shopping experience, so that makes me happy, too ;) Until the next shopping trip, Kris :D

Birthday Treat

I think I gained 2 pounds today from eating too much today :o After all, who can resist Pancake House?  This was the caterer our friend got for their son's birthday party.

Tell me, how can you say no to these delicious pancake with salty whipped butter goodness? ;)
IMG_2788

While hubby and I were feasting, little J had his first hand-painted artwork...
IMG_2786

... and had tons of fun playing outside.  Hubby "took him fishing" and won a few prizes too :D
IMG_2789

How about you? How was your weekend? :)

Twitpic Post

By Ginggay Joven-dela Merced of Visions and Expressions, that is... Wow, that was a mouthful!  She posted a photo of me the day I attended their La Prairie event.  I was all made up for a shoot earlier that day:

What do you think of my "new" look? ;)

Noon Time Swim

From the night we checked in, we haven't had the chance to enjoy the hotel's amenities.  Like the swimming pool, for example.  So, at the very last minute, 2 hours before we checked out last Sunday, we took a dip in the kiddie pool hehe...

IMG_2735

Here's a short video clip of little J wading on his own:

Isn't this one of the most adorable photos you've seen of little J? :D
Tabaching!
IMG_2738

As soon as we got to my in-laws that afternoon, little J was fast asleep and slept all throughout that afternoon.  Obviously, knocked out from his "swimming" activity ;)
