Happy Birthday Rajo!!!

I normally stay home with the family on a Sunday night, but last Sunday was different. I got two tickets to the Samsung Metrowear Icon Rajo Laurel, and it was just too good to pass up :)

Of course, Samsung was the major sponsor.  Look at that slim TV!

My date for the night was, who else?, but my mom:

The invite said cocktails at 7PM, doors will open at 8PM.  But like any event, it didn't start on time.  And we were just waiting outside the ballroom while we waited for the doors to open, so we spent the time munching on yummy sweets.  Here's an instagram shot that I posted that night:

The events production team was running around, including some models like Jessica Yang, who posted for me hehe...  Fancying those chrome nails :D

I couldn't take my eyes off Teresa Herrera's outfit.  

Now, if only I had the abs to wear this one ;)

By around 830PM, we were welcomed into the ballroom.  Live flute music was provided for a relaxing and soothing vibe:

Before 9PM, host Teresa Herrera went on stage.  I just had to take a photo of her back—a contrasting mix of sweet dominatrix style, don't you agree?

One of the reasons I went as well is that my cousin-in-law Joey Mead King did her last runway walk that night.  Here she is in a gorgeous red serpentine cut dress.  There are hoop details as well — which can be seen in most of Rajo's pieces.

Forever 21 Opens

Months of hard work finally paid off last weekend — my newest baby opened with a bang at SM Aura Premier.  I know everyone was talking about Sarah Jessica Parker and the mall, but I was just too busy preparing for my latest store.  Yes, I love my store too much to leave it and run to the press con to take a glimpse of SJP. Sigh!  There will be other opportunities.

But, moving on... May 16 and 17 were really busy days for the whole F21 team, so I hardly got to document everything :o  Here are a glimpse of what my life was like in those two days :)

MAY 16

Bright and early at SM Aura Premier

While waiting, I signed all the discount coupons that we were giving out the next day.

The whole mall was filled with these lovely floral arrangements. 
I wanted to bring them home haha...

The traffic was soooo bad, everyone was late but they still made it - whew!

The whole morning was filled with prepping for the store opening and the 5PM show.  
I only got to breathe a bit when I checked on the looks of the models:

And the collections were fabulous!  It was the best show ever — but of course, right?  We should always aim to give our best and produce better results every time!

Massage Blues

If political candidates are stressed over the May 13 elections, I am stressed over my next store opening set this May 16/17 :o  

It's the usual stress, so it's not something my team can't handle.  Stress is always part of life.  You just gotta go with the flow :)  Right now, I am dreaming of massages, which I will surely get to have after the store (Forever 21) opens :D

Luckily, hubby and I were able to squeeze a massage appointment last week at Ki by Neo Day Spa in Wilson St., Greenhills.  Neo Spa is one of my fave establishments. 

 

Their receptionists are always warm and welcoming, taking their time to explain their services.  I especially love their uniform. I wanted to take photos so I can share them with you, but the ladies were pretty shy...

After reviewing their menu, hubby picked the Zen Bodywork to relieve stress, while I got the Ki Bodywork that came with an express facial :)

There are a lot of packages and promos that you can avail of as well.  
I spy a promo package for Forever 21 MasterCard holders ;)

I love the simplicity of the whole place.  The interiors and the music are all in sync, making our massage session a relaxing one.  Of course, their masseuses are well-trained an equipped to give you the best massages ;)


And really, it's all about the little details, like this waiting area...

Oh, and this artwork got me curious.  I will definitely try this one next time :D
