Christmas Day

The morning started with visits to our grandmothers (Little J's great grand ma).  After that, we had lunch with my side of the family.  Then, gift-giving and unwrapping them at my in-laws.  Here's a family portrait:

Little J, like all the kids, were very excited to open their gifts:

Hubby suggested that we also prepare a gift for him, despite getting gifts from our in-laws, which he loved the most :)

Dinner was up next, and we all headed to Shangri-la Makati hotel to have their special Christmas buffet at Circles.  We stayed a bit for some photo-ops :)

Here are some of my favorite pics :D

I got him this whole outfit from my most recent trip to Bangkok, Thailand.
Cute, noh? :)

Here's a family photo of the three of us,
which includes the gift that hubby got for me. Tee hee :)

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! :D

Christmas Celebrations Part 1

Here's how our December 24 went:

Spent lunch at the Japanese resto in Shangri-la EDSA hotel—it was my youngest brother's birthday :)

My other brother, Jones, just found out that day that Little J is going to have a cousin soon :D

Then, we went to my parents' house and left Little J there so he can get his afternoon sleep

while we all went to Cold Layers at NorthEast Square to have dessert

We were supposed to have dinner at my parents' place, but they decided at the last minute to have it at Gloria Maris.  Little J loved the man-to (chinese bread)

We ended the night by singing the birthday song to my youngest brother, with our all-time favorite cake from Hizon's :D

Of course, Little J enjoyed blowing out the candle ;)

Happy birthday, Be-Ku :D

One of our childhood friends is back for the holidays, and we were able to meet up last week with our kiddos :)

Can't wait to hang out with them again tomorrow ;)

Outfit by Yako

Posting a story on Philippine Fashion Week reminded me that I haven't had the chance to thank designer Yako Reyes for my outfit :)

Jane Style yako

What I'm wearing: dress by Yako Reyes, purple jelly heels by Melissa x JPG, Kate Spade clutch, and topaz drop earrings by JMA

I've always been a fan of his works. I love the fact that most of his pieces exude a relaxed vibe, yet still very feminine since his choice of fabrics are always soft and flowy.  His voluminous cuts are also very red-carpet-worthy ;)

Thank you again for the fab dress, Yako :D

Christmas Parade

We just saw one of the most well-made and organized parade show yesterday afternoon at Frontera Verde in Pasig (where Tiendesitas is).  It was drizzling a bit though, so we opted to stay in the car and passed the parade four times hehe...

The Powerpuff Girls used to be one of my favorites

Each "float" had a group of dancers in costumes

We opened our windows for Little J

Kung Fu Panda

Buzz Lightyear

Hello, Woody!!!

Everyone's fave-of-the-moment: Angry Birds
Check out the costumes of the dancers

Our finale photo before heading to my in-laws for dinner

Little J enjoyed the parade.
He kept saying"wow" every time we passed by :D

Kris Kringle Time

Last Friday was our first Kris Kringle at the head office :)

Task 1 is to find a gift that's FLUFFY :D

Au, our marketing coordinator, and I ended up picking each other's gifts hehe...

It's beginning to look/feel a lot like Christmas :D

Think Happy Thoughts

My friend posted this in her Facebook wall, and I think it's a great way to spread good vibes :D
1. At least five people in this world love you so much they would die for you.
2. At least fifteen people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, someone thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. If not for you, someone may not be living.
8. You are special and unique.
9. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.
12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it.
13. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget the rude remarks.
14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.
15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.
By reading this, I hope you'll be able to start December and 2012 with a smile :D

Back from Cebu

We're back from a relaxing and fun vacay in Cebu :D

It would have been an even better one, if not for my horrible experience flying home.  Click on this link to find out what happened.

Scenic Korea

I'm still not done uploading photos in Facebook :( Been very busy preparing for the opening of Forever 21 in SM Cebu.  Sigh!

Here's another nice photo I'd like to share.  I love the fall colors and the scenery here:

I will try my best to post next week, but work comes first.  Keeping my fingers crossed ;)

Box of Goodies

Do you remember that we went to London over the summer?  Of course, shopping was involved, and we were obviously overweight with our luggage.  So, we asked our friend, Jeff, to pack our old clothes (and other items) in a balikbayan box.  We were able to fill up the box(es) by the end of August, and it arrived last week :D

I filled it up with blanket sets from IKEA, a nespresso machine for my parents, and a nescafe dolce gusto for us.  Hubby was so excited to try it tonight:

More reasons to host dinners soon :D

Shopping Again!

I bought so much toys (and books) for little J last night at the Toy Kingdom Warehouse sale :D  I was so excited that hubby and I assembled a Disney Cars book rack and an organizing shelf as soon as I got home—both at 30% off.  Not bad right? :D

These will definitely help Little J keep his room tidy and clean :)

Back to Reality

We just came back from a trip to Seoul, Korea over the long weekend :D  Got settled at home around 130am, so it's off to sleep for me.  Work awaits tomorrow.

We spent the last six days with Francis and Keri Zamora's family:

I'll try to post more photos in the next few days :)

The Morning After

We started the day with breakfast at MakanMakan.  I think it's about P600 for the buffet, not bad actually.

Imagine having a view like this---lovely!

So much food for the morning

bread and cheese

dimsum and egg station

cereal, milk, soya milk, congee and noodle soup

juices, coffee, tea and hot cocoa (which I love!)

Little J ate a lot, too ;)

We went back up to watch one last 3D movie.  To read my review of the Smart TV, click here.

and checked out in time - 1p.m.

Thank you again to Ms. O and Samsung for a wonderful stay at H2O hotel :D
