A New Hat

From the airport, the first thing I did when we got back to our house was to take out the hat I bought for Little J :D

I saw this hat (among other toddler size hats) in just one stall in Chatuchak (sort of like Divisoria) in Bangkok.  Mom suggested we'll walk around and might find a stall selling it at a cheaper price, but we didn't. So I had to go back and find the stall again—thank goodness, I was able to :)  I'm so glad I got this one for Little J, and I'm so happy that he likes wearing it :D

Typhoon Pedring

I had work last Tuesday when Typhoon Pedring arrived.  I was planning to brave the storm and head out to our head office in Roxas Boulevard, but my boss texted me to go straight to SM Megamall instead. It was announced around 5p.m. that head office employees can go home already, and so I went straight home to check on Little J.

We woke up with no electricity, and I came home to a house with no electricity still.
This is what greeted me when I opened the door:

Yaya was feeding him dinner, while our maid provided "light" haha...

His smile can definitely light up a whole room :D

Can't Wait To Be Home

I spent the weekend with mommy dearest in one of our favorite cities—Bangkok :D
IMG_0327

Keri and Joyce also took the same flight as us, what a coincidence!
IMG_0326

This is our first photo op together, as soon as we stepped out of the airport ;)
Will try to share our BKK trip in the next few posts.
I can't wait to be with my family... I miss them so much!

Toys for JJ

What happens if you have GCs that are about to expiry?
Well, for me, I ended up buying educational toys for the little one :D
IMG_0268

Got him a Crayola easel (that can turn to a table) with stool, and this Fisher Price piggy bank.  He's been counting 1-10, and this piggy bank counts with him every time he drops a coin — perfect way to encourage him to count ;)

Chatting with Dada

Hubby's away for a few days, so we were Skype-ing last night :D

Can you see me and Little J? :)

Happy birthday, Papa Miao :D

It was my dad's birthday yesterday.  As usual, we all wore red and had lunch at the most-talked about Bulgogi Brothers at Greenbelt 5:

I like the modern-mix-Korean culture interiors:

Korean wine, in all kinds, are available... to those who love to drink:

We were served corn tea and appetizers (steamed kamote, corn on the cob and hard boiled quail eggs) while we waited for our orders:

Here's Little J enjoying his corn :D

First up - rib-eye
IMG_0274

I like the fact that one of their staff members does the cooking for us; and using an electric stove too :)
IMG_0275

Then, we had their Bulgogi Brothers special, 1,495, which had ground beef shaped into hearts hehe...
IMG_0277
The ground beef was cooked first, and the rest of sauteed together.
I love the latter one, mixed with sliced basil leaves. So fragrant :)

Most of us had their refillable iced tea (syrup), and I asked for a plastic cup for Little J so he can have a little.  They gave me this instead, how cute!
IMG_0279

They also gave him a plastic plate and kiddie spoon and fork—now, that's what I call service.
Upon payment, our server even left a handwritten thank you note.  Now, how could you not leave tip? :)

We had Hizon's cake after —we took it home and had it at my parents' place.
Too bad, I wasn't able to take a photo of it.
We devoured it as soon as we finished singing Happy Birthday hehe...

Happy happy birthday to the best dad in the whole wide world :D

Childhood Buddies

Sherry was in town to fix her working visa,
so we grabbed the chance to have dinner with her the other night :)

We had dinner at 1521 at Burgos Circle, and had Serenitea for dessert.
I miss my high school barkada. Until the next one ;)

Mooncake Festival

It's that time of the year again when you roll out the dice to win some prizes
... and I don't mean at the Casino ;)

IMG_0211

It's Little J's first time to play
IMG_0212

And for a 2-year-old, he successfully threw all six of the die with his two small hands :D

Happy Mooncake Festival, everyone :D

My Style Wish for JJ

How I wish JJ's hair was like this all the time:
IMG_0082

This is him, fresh off the shower.  I've been wanting to apply styling products on his hair so he'd have a bit of "body" as opposed to his uber-straight shampoo-TVC-like locks :)
IMG_0081

On the other hand, hubby has been wanting to shave his head :o

Yikes, what do you think?

Little J in Pajamas

Just wanted to share with you some photos of Little J in his PJs :)

He asked for a fork so he can eat the cake
IMG_0046

He "snatched" my Snyder's as we were watching his cartoons
IMG_0052

He woke up crying (must have been a bad dream), and positioned himself this way.
He slept comfortably, too!  This was already in the morning, BTW ;)
IMG_0054

That's it for today—our little man in his PJs hihi :)

JJ Can Count

I finally got to record Little J counting 1-10 :D

He hardly does it. I've made him count twice, and he only did it because he was already sleepy and in a "drunken" mood.  Whenever I ask him to count for me, he would shy away from me and the camera I brought out to document his counting skills.

So, I was really lucky to have been able to record it over the weekend ;)

Atsi Yuki's Birthday

We celebrated cousin Yuki's birthday last Sunday at Choi Garden.  Of course, the highlight of the party is always the candle blowing:
IMG_0068

After atsi Yuki, every kid wanted to blow the candles as well.  Here's Little J's successful attempt on blowing them out.  Oh, and we all sang Happy Birthday for each kid hehe...
IMG_0070

Just had to shared this photo of him holding his loot bag ;)
IMG_0064

He is the cutest and most adorable baby boy :D
