Mechanical Toys

Little J spent quite some time in Toys R Us in Ocean Terminal.  The first thing that "stopped him on his tracks" were these fluffy animals that could walk:

I convinced hubby not to buy them, as I know I could find them at affordable prices back in Manila.  We should be buying stuff you can't find in the Philippines, right?  So, the first thing I did when I got back was go to Divisoria (on a weekend) to find Little J's toys.   Hubby works in Chinatown area, that's why I get to tag along :D  These were what I ended up with: walking (with sounds) mechanical toys (tiger, camel, and hippo); plastic animals so he can familiarize himself with them; and bubble blowers; lifesaver and a squirter for swimming this weekend—all for P1,120.  Not bad, indeed!

Sigh! And I did this all with a flu that I'm still fighting :o The things we do for our little one/s ;)

Little J (and my) First Trick or Treat

Yes, you read it right.  Yesterday was my first one, with Little J and hubby :)  Little J wore two costumes.  Well, the first one he wore out for lunch with my side of the family—a Kimono set, which he also wore early in the morning while he helped grandma (hubby's mom) prepare for the village's "trick or treat" activities:

... and off we go :)  Here's Little J feeling like he's a big boy already—he doesn't want to hold daddy's hand...

Little J sweats a lot and fast, so I thought of getting this construction worker vest (with tools, a tool belt, and a "hard" hat) instead :)  Cute, don't you agree?

His two older cousins came in adorable costumes as well: one's Alice in Wonderland, and the other is a Fruit Fairy. Both got their costumes from SM Department Store.  "Alice" even had a blonde wig ;)  Here are the kids having fun with their loot, though it's the adults (like us and their nannies) who will get to eat them later on haha...

I found this family so cool, because the parents came in costumes as well.  The mom was busy taking photos our kids, while I took a shot of her family ;)  Hope hubby's game to dress up next time; I would love to go around in a costume, too! :D

How about you? What are your plans for this week?
Happy Halloween :D

Playing the Dice Game

Tomorrow is August 15 in the Lunar calendar—which is the exact date of the Mooncake Festival :)  My family had our celebration two Sundays ago, while the rest of the Chinese population had theirs last Sunday.

It was little J's first Dice Game

With over 50 attendees, it was definitely a riot!
We had two bowls with dices to go around, so that the game won't take too long.

Little J had fun hanging out with my two brothers, too :)

We all had a great time, and we hope our grandma enjoyed as well.
Nai-nai (grandma in Mandarin) got to see all her great grandchildren that day, along with Little J :D

Saliva Play

Received a Flip video recorder recently, thanks to the Dove team and Bridges PR group—that's another post for next week ;)  I gave it to little J's yaya (our nanny), so she can record all of little J's milestones while hubby and I are out at work.  Here's one that she took with the Flip cam, hope it'll also put a smile on your faces...
Although it has a small screen, I was quite surprised to find out how good its resolution is.   It can also record up to a total of 30 minutes, and comes with a usb port for quick uploads. Pretty amazing what this small video recorder can do, right?

Have a great weekend :D

Little J's Funny Face

It rained pretty hard yesterday, noh?  Little J was a well-behaved boy, despite the heavy downfall.  Here he is, looking all "don JJ" in the car, on the way to our regular Sunday lunch with my family:
IMG_4817
After which, we headed out to Santuario in Forbes for a baptismal that hubby is part of—he is ninong to little G. Merienda (or actually, early dinner) was served at Marciano's in Greenbelt 3.
IMG_4836
It is our first time there; here is a shot of the interiors:
IMG_4821
The lighted frames on the ceiling are a nice touch!
IMG_4820
Food was delicious, according to hubby and our nanny. I am a bit under the weather, and couldn't taste anything at all :(
IMG_4823
Little J is very friendly. He plays with all the kids, and lets adults carry him around, too! haha...
IMG_4819
Just had to share what I wore for the party. A beaded cropped top (that's so in-trend right now), paired with cropped mocha slacks, and peep-toe clogs :D I would wear them to work, but I might get a memo for showing off my "abs" haha...
IMG_4832
And finally, this photo cracks me up every time I look at it. Hopefully, it will make your day or week, too :D
IMG_4838

I can't stop laughing at Little J's goofy face—two of his teeth are slowly showing, too! Yipee!
