Another skype session happened earlier tonight with hubby—he's in China on a business trip.

Flying Out

I'm leaving with my mom on a short trip to Singapore in a few hours.  I'm always sad the night before trips like these, as I will be missing my two boys :(  Here's a shot of them taken last December 30, at Nuvali.  Will post more on this trip soon :)

Little J's 1st Engagement Party

Close Up White Now threw an engagement party last Monday at the Rigodon Ballroom of Manila Peninsula Hotel for my cousin Ian King and Joey Mead, along with designer Rosanna Ocampo and Marco Rodriguez.

My schoolmate from St. Jude Catholic School, Tim Yap, and our wedding host, JM Rodriguez, were the hosts for the night:

How apt that Tim was the bridge for Ian (in Joey Samson) and Joey (in Rajo Laurel).

While JM served as the connection to Rosanna and Marco

Food was delicious!  Music was even better, as provided by hubby's schoolmate from Xavier, Mars Miranda (who was also my schoolmate back in college)

I was caught off guard in this photo, but I just wanted to share with you what I wore that night—a dress by Ronaldo Arnaldo :)  I love his choice of pastels and the whimsical yet very demure design :D  As for my makeup, I was too lazy to get all dolled up, which lead me to using this bright fuchsia gloss from M.A.C. called Magnetique.  It's the quickest way to look all made up ;)  Oh, and I was wearing my wedding shoes (lucite wedges) custom-made by Figlia ;)

And guess who we brought to the party? Little J! :D

Joey hung out with us for a while before we headed home :)

It was indeed a magical night for the two couples and the guests. I love the set-up, and the AVP CloseUp White Now made for them.  Watching them talk about their partners made me feel how much I appreciate hubby and little J :D  Thank you for inviting us to celebrate this romantic evening with you both, cuz Ian and Joey!

Will post more photos in my other blog next week :)

At the Republiq

Last Saturday, hubby's best man and little J's ninong celebrated his birthday at Republiq.  We've been invited a few times to go to the "new" club, even for their grand opening.  But last Saturday was the first time we've set foot there.

Here I am with the girls :)

... and we had a lot of these french fries with truffle oil dip—yummy, while we talked about our children, breastfeeding, and everything in between :D

... while the boys drank...

Hubby and I are allergic to alcohol, but he drank a bit anyway.

It's been quite sometime since we went out, and we both enjoyed the night at Republiq. And we both found it pretty cool for the club to hire a singer to sing live for some of the classic songs from our time ;)
I'm also loving my new red-lip look, courtesy of Shu Uemura Gloss Unlimited in RD165 (a universal red in warm undertone)—it's my first time to wear really bright red lip gloss :D

Father and Son Shoes

Spent a good amount of time looking at these shoes, and taking photos of them over the weekend :)

We had the Tip Toey Joey's for quite some time now, but hubby just got his barefoot shoes last week. I totally forgot about little J's pair until I saw hubby's :o Good thing I remembered! Whew!

I got all giddy when I found out we have almost-matching shoes for hubby and JJ. How cute, right? :)
Here are two shots of them in their new shoes, taken last Sunday at Power Plant Mall:

I wanted to take a shot of them both standing, but JJ was not cooperating. This is my best shot, with his tummy out in the open hihi...

Our verdict? Hubby's very picky when it comes to shoes. He loves his crocs; he wears them whenever and wherever. So I was quite happy that these barefoot sneakers are added to his list of regular shoes—they're very soft and comfy. As for JJ? We love that the back of the shoe is garterized, making it harder for the babies to take them off.
