Why We Work

According to Little J,  this is why hubby and I work...

Our nanny told me one evening when I got home that she asked Little J where his mama was, his answer: "Work. Toy." And his dada?  "Work. Buy Milk."  This put a big smile to my face, and got me teary-eyed.  Such a bright boy to know why hubby I work, it's to provide and take care of him :D

And here are some more toys that I got for him at Toy Kingdom: the bowling set is P200, while the velcro bull's eye set is P100.  Not bad, right?  And they're now wrapped in kraft paper, too!  I'm so glad SM group is going towards being clean and green :)

Shopping Again!

I bought so much toys (and books) for little J last night at the Toy Kingdom Warehouse sale :D  I was so excited that hubby and I assembled a Disney Cars book rack and an organizing shelf as soon as I got home—both at 30% off.  Not bad right? :D

These will definitely help Little J keep his room tidy and clean :)

Toys for JJ

What happens if you have GCs that are about to expiry?
Well, for me, I ended up buying educational toys for the little one :D
IMG_0268

Got him a Crayola easel (that can turn to a table) with stool, and this Fisher Price piggy bank.  He's been counting 1-10, and this piggy bank counts with him every time he drops a coin — perfect way to encourage him to count ;)

Easter Egg HuntS

Little J spent the afternoon with not just one, but two Easter Egg Hunts.  One at my grandma's, and one at my in-laws :)

The day started out with a convoy to my grandma's place.

Toys for Little J

Remember my post when I promised to go to Divisoria and buy Little J some more toys? Well, I was able to go two Saturdays ago :)  Here's what I bought:

Little J loved all of them, but he loved basketball the most.  Here's a video clip of him shooting:

Hubby is quite happy that little J loves basketball :D

Presko Baby

It's summer all right, and kids like little J are raring to play—outdoors!  Good thing, there's Johnson's Baby products to keep him fresh all day long.
IMG_3160

Little J and I were invited to Johnson's Baby Presko Play event, but apparently, little J is too young to enjoy the activities prepared by the team.  But we still stayed for a few minutes to see what Johnson's prepared for that afternoon.

Selecta chocolate drinks were served—yummy!

You can have your photo taken for free, if you buy P60 worth of Johnson's products.  Not bad!
IMG_3165

Left little J and our nanny to eat at Trellis, which was right across the event.  We always bring a bag of his toys to keep him pre-occupied.

Thanks to Azkals, football has been a trending topic, with kids learning to play the sport.  Futkal is one of those groups that are helping these kids get into the sport.  I kinda like the concept, wherein you can play football anywhere, even on the street.  Hence the name Futkal (football = Fut; kalye = street).  Here are the Futkaleros, ready to teach the kids how to play football:

Can't wait for little J to start "training" on his fave sport ;)

What I'm wearing: Loose cropped top; denim shorts, sequined floral oxfords.  All from Forever 21.
Thanks for the invite, J&J team :)

Little J loves Stride Rite

I am very picky when it comes to searching for the perfect pair for little J.  You start them young; you make them appreciate what a soft and comfy pair can do to one's feet.  Stride Rite is one of those places we trust for little J's shoes.
IMG_2444

I appreciate that the store stocked up with toys to keep the kids pre-occupied.
IMG_2450

The only problem was, little J didn't want to leave hehe...
IMG_2456

IMG_2475

Took a while, but we were able to step out of the store with little J's new shoes.

*Stride Rite is located at the 5th floor of SM Megamall, Atrium.

JJ wants B!

Jollibee, that is... Hubby and I can't comprehend why kids love Jollibee more than any other mascot.  Someone once explained to me why both Barney and Jollibee are adored by the kids—it's because they mimic the movements of the toddlers.  They're a bit unstable and wobbly, if you get what I mean.  What do you think of this notion?

Anyways,  because little J loves Jollibee, we decided to have lunch there last Saturday:
IMG_2976

We wanted to buy on our way out, but the kid selling the balloons were nowhere to be found...
IMG_2973

We had their set meals at P99 each, comes with drink and dessert—not bad!
IMG_2977

Little J spent a lot of time in the Kiddie Playground.  Two thumbs up for Jollibee, E. Rodriguez, QC ;)
IMG_3009

We let him play on his own for a while...
IMG_2993

IMG_2994

I eventually joined in, since I wanted to bring him up and inside the tube.  Here we go :)
IMG_3006

...and we're up!
IMG_3007

... and out :D
IMG_3008

Now, if only we can have one of these tubular playgrounds at home haha... Too expensive and there's not space for this big a kiddie set ;)  Anyways, we will be back soon to let little J play again :D

Birthday Treat

I think I gained 2 pounds today from eating too much today :o After all, who can resist Pancake House?  This was the caterer our friend got for their son's birthday party.

Tell me, how can you say no to these delicious pancake with salty whipped butter goodness? ;)
IMG_2788

While hubby and I were feasting, little J had his first hand-painted artwork...
IMG_2786

... and had tons of fun playing outside.  Hubby "took him fishing" and won a few prizes too :D
IMG_2789

How about you? How was your weekend? :)
