My last visit to Forever 21 was just last Friday, and I've missed out a lot. I got so excited when I saw these fabulous thigh-high black leather boots, I just had to buy them. I plan to wear them when I travel and when I attend some event that will merit a "show-off" of these boots ;)
Priced at P2075, this pair is such a steal! Click on this link for more styles, and our facebook fan page to find out what's new. Remember, stocks don't last forever at Forever 21 ;) Hope to see you at the store tomorrow!

How My Saturday Was...
After Sugi, we went to visit my parents who were nearby, and invited them for coffee at UCC:
I had my usual Iced Tea Au Lait. BDO credit card holders get a free cup of coffee with a minimum of P1,000 single receipt purchase. They are also part of the Enjoy kit, but I opted not to use it since there were better in-shop offers like Buy one House coffee, and one dessert, and get the other cup of House coffee for free :)
Then off we (my mom and my bro's fiancee) to designer Eric delos Santos to finalize her wedding gown ;)
We spent a considerable amount of time at Eric's place. It's always such a blast! I also got the dress I wore to last night's Metro Weddings event at Marriot Hotel, featuring Cary Santiago. Click on this link to watch the video. We left a little before 7 p.m. and I got dropped off at Charlie's in Greenhills to have dinner with hubby and our regular date couple. I had their Naked Hot Dawgs wrapped in Bacon:
while hubby had this double patty angus burger:
Charlie's is also part of the Enjoy kit, and with every P1,000 spent, you get a free clam chowder with the card, and meatball dish with the coupon. Now, this is sulit!
Tip: Less than a month ago, we were with one of the owners of Charlie's, and he shared with us some special sauces he's cooking up. So, we asked for the sauces again for this meal, and I can't wait for them to officially serve them.
We're quite lucky to get first dibs on these sauces—yummy!
Watch out for these soon :)

Babies' Day Out
I met Billie of The Body Shop about two years ago. She was with her then-boyfriend-now-hubby Ian, who is coincidentally childhood friends with hubby. Fast forward to 2010, Billie gave birth to an adorable baby boy and is now back to work with The Body Shop. Their son, Matteo, is almost 6 months old. So we decided it was time to schedule a play date— we had lunch last Saturday at Sugi Greenhills.
Here are the mommies with their babies...
I am amazed at how Billie's hubby, Ian, carries Matteo haha... Find it cool, actually :)

Nail Art
Went to Posh Nails (T. Morato) again for my regular maniped:
I picked out these two bottles, because I like anything pink, and I just had to try their matte blue finish. Both by Orly.
I asked the nail technician how I can use both, and this is what we came up with.
I have nails as short as that of a cute little girl, nothing much I can do with it. But I'm quite happy how this "nail art" came out :D

Playing the Dice Game
Tomorrow is August 15 in the Lunar calendar—which is the exact date of the Mooncake Festival :) My family had our celebration two Sundays ago, while the rest of the Chinese population had theirs last Sunday.
Little J had fun hanging out with my two brothers, too :)
It was little J's first Dice Game
With over 50 attendees, it was definitely a riot!
We had two bowls with dices to go around, so that the game won't take too long.
Hubby and little J waited by the "sidelines"

We all had a great time, and we hope our grandma enjoyed as well.
Nai-nai (grandma in Mandarin) got to see all her great grandchildren that day, along with Little J :D

Well-Rested Legs
I bought these two pairs of sky-high heels last week at the store (Forever 21). How could you possibly pass these up? :)
And this one was last Saturday:
On both days, I decided to stay at the store. By Saturday afternoon, my feet were getting a bit cramped. I woke up yesterday morning with sore thighs to boot! That's because I spent the whole Saturday taking photos and squatting to take better shots of the accessories that were displayed below waist level. I seriously thought I could take it—wearing high heels, but I didn't realize I would be squatting and bending a lot :o Oh well, I got a workout anyways haha...
So, I opted for something casual to wear for yesterday's activities. Plus, I was with little J and didn't want to risk slipping or falling while carrying the little guy. He was quite the walker (and talker) that afternoon at Power Plant mall :o
I don't regret buying these two pairs. More so because they were sold out in just two days! Forever 21 stocks run out quite fast, since we have limited pieces per style. So, to everyone who's worried about wearing the same Forever 21 items as the girl/boy next to you: Don't worry, we only have a handful per design to sell. And to those who get disappointed if the store doesn't have enough stocks: Please understand that we try to keep items as limited as possible, so you won't be seen with the same outfit ;) So what's the best solution? Try to visit us every week to get first dibs on the merchandise. Mornings until lunch time is always recommended ;)
This is what I wore last Friday:
What I'm wearing: Gray stretch cotton dress with lace sleeve detail from Forever 21, lace stirrups from a bazaar in Malaysia (we have something similar at the store), and Forever 21 platform stilletto lace up booties.
And this one was last Saturday:
What I'm wearing: White loose polo (I tucked in the front and left the back out), black shorts, and daisy-printed platform maryjanes. All from Forever 21.

What I'm wearing: Loose shirt with multi-pastel colored pinwheel design from Bangkok Chatuchak, and blue tiered mini with eyelet design from Meisic Mall in Chinatown, and turquoise sequined flats from Kira Plastinina, with my Chloe Ethel bag.

For the Hot Mommas
My schoolmate and friend Nicole Jacinto, together with Amanda Griffin-Jacob, is hosting a bazaar tomorrow:
Along with the usual momma+baby goodies, they've organized this event for moms to exchange their baby items (used and brand new). For the latter project, deadline for submission of items is already over. But you can still check out the bazaar tomorrow:
This is actually a very cool project. Kudos to Nicole and Amanda for organizing this one. I'm pretty sure they'll have a part two of this wonderful endeavor. Will post it earlier next time, so we can all join the swapping :) Hope you can all visit their bazaar tomorrow :D

Sweet Saturday
Friday's binge wasn't enough for us, so we decided to have sweets the next night at Chocolate Fire.
This time around, I brought along my ENJOY kit and got a free mug of their hot chocolate :D
Their cheesecake is the bomb!
Hubby had Mocha—again ;)
I love Violet Crumble: it was my staple sweets during our Honeymoon Trip hehe...
So I just had to try their version called "Honey Come Back." To read my first post on Chocolate Fire, click on this link.
What I wore: Forever 21 top and shorts, with Marc Jacobs clutch and multi-colored platform pumps I got from Metrowalk.
Here's a tighter shot of my accessories—LOVE!
*Chocolate Fire is located at the corner of V.A. Rufino and Leviste streets. Telephone number: 840-FIRE
Best to call before heading out to the place. We went there on a Sunday after lunch with the family, and they were closed :( From what I remember, they're open 4 p.m. onwards. But please do call them just to make sure.

A Packed Weekend
The long weekend was all about pigging out and wearing short shorts. Oh, how I've missed them—long weekends and wearing shorts, that is. Anyways, let me start with Friday night. Hubby and I hung out with another couple; we started the night by watching "Going The Distance" (It's a must-watch, BTW), and ended the night with a late dinner at Chili's:
Nacho's smothered with cheese, topped with jalapeno, and sidings of sour cream and shredded lettuce
I always have their Chicken Fingers (I'm baduy like that), but hubby convinced me to try something else. So, I had their Grilled Chicken strips with alfredo sauce—sinful!
Hubby ordered something from their new menu (full of burgers). I think this came with mushroom and onion rings.
We capped it off with this yummy new version of their cake served with ice cream on top ;P
What I wore: Embroidered RL polo shirt, printed shorts from Forever 21, black espadrilles from Target, and my new bag purchase—a Chloe Ethel I got from my recent Bangkok trip :D Took me some time to bring this bag out for a spin, because I had doubts due to it being a bit on the heavy side. It was kind of an impulse buy :o I spent two weeks thinking if I should sell it, and came to a decision to keep it...obviously ;) I love the style, the fact that it comes with a sling, and it's a pretty roomy bag, too! What do you think?

Reunion of Sorts
It's been a looooong time since I've been out "clubbing." What made me do it last Wednesday? For friends, obviously ;) And I went to two events, at that :o
Can't believe it's been 10 years since Chalk was born. I was part of the pioneer team, so it was definitely a trip down memory lane. Most especially when I picked up Mags—she's our staff photographer, and we were usually the tandem ;)
Picked her up around 10p.m. and got to The Fort in 15 minutes. Pretty quick, but it took us a while to find parking :( By the time we got to Encore, the event was already finished. Oh well, we got to hang with ol' friends. Click on this link to find out who I bumped into :)
Oh, Mags and I just had to share this cool van parked in front of us. We left The Fort at the same time, so we were able to take a photo of it. So '60s hippie, don't you agree?

Sunday is Family Day
Sunday's are sacred for me: I make sure to spend time with both my side of the family and hubby's. I think all young parents agree that Sunday isn't a rest day for us at all :o But spending time with our loved ones makes not resting at all worth it, right? :)
We had lunch at Picasso in Makati (will post pics of those when I can), and went straight to Greenbelt 5 after. Hubby and I agreed to accompany my family while they wait for their 4:30 p.m. movie. I am so envious that they've watched Despicable Me. Here is Little J dressed in a Japanese Kimono set, a gift from my family when they went to Japan last year—I was left here in Manila that Holy Week 2009, because I was pregnant with Little J.
We left my family after a while, and went straight to my in-laws'. Rested for a bit, and had dinner with hubby's whole family at Shangri-la Plaza mall. Here's Little J on his first Carousel ride, which he was scared of...
Yaya brought him back to the restaurant, and he hung out with his cousins, with yaya showing him how to draw with crayons. I kept the paper with all his scribbles :D
We got home close to 10 p.m.—Sunday just whizzed by noh? But I had a great time despite not being able to rest. Nothing can replace quality time with loved ones :D How about you? How do you spend your Sundays? :)

Here's dad attempting to use Little J's bolster pillow as support:
... and failed. He went back to using Little J's "lampin" hehe...
He's 1 year and 2 months now, and he can be quite a handful :o I "placed" him on this sofa, while my family checked out some furniture at the basement. He had a blast walking/crawling from end to end–beats letting him walk around in the store ;) This is less tiring haha...

Friends are Lifesavers
Ever since I got home last Monday, I've been having stomach problems. I think I ate something really bad. One of those nights (I think it was last Thursday 12mn onwards), I woke up with gas attacks. Been getting up every so often to go to the bathroom, with hubby helping me eat and drink to rehydrate. Around 4 a.m., I asked him to get me some warm water downstairs when I remembered my friend, Orts, and her hubby's holiday gift to us: a hot/cold pack.
Just put this pack in the microwave and warm it up between 1-2 minutes, and you're all set to use it. Thank you so much, Orts and Jeff! You helped me get through the night haha :D

Another Video Clip
I've been under the weather since I got back. Don't know if I tired myself out, or I ate something bad :( But seeing little J makes me feel better. Here's another video that I'd like to share with you—little J doing the "hercules" :D
Apologies for the lack of posts this week, will share more stories soon :D
Happy weekend!
