Attempt to Lose Weight

Gained quite a few pounds from my UK trip.  Although I've lost a bit, I still need to lose some more :o  So, here I am, with my stationary bike (which I got from my parents) ;)

JJ is now 2

Last Saturday was Little J's 2nd birthday, and I spent the morning buying these at Divisoria—hubby had to go to work, so I tagged along :)

Balloons with "Happy Birthday" printed on it costs P40 for 10 pieces, so cheap! I forgot how much the sticks costs, but the party hats are P2 each or P20 for a dozen. 

Our original plan was to spend the afternoon (until night) at Manila Ocean Park with his cousins, but since it rained, we didn't want anyone to get stuck in traffic. Plus, it was raining so we won't be able to enjoy the fountain show :(  So, we went to Plan B, which was to spend the afternoon at Timezone in Greenhills Promenade:

And had dinner at Banana Leaf Cafe in the same area, capping it off with Hizon's birthday cake—Yummy! Oh, I got the HAPPY BIRTHDAY candles for P27 a set ;)

The kids swarmed towards the cake, all wanting to help Little J blow and eat the cake, too!

And the highlight of the night (other than Little J's birthday) was a photo op with Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez haha... All the nannies wanted a photo with them, and since Mariel and I are friends, I was able to ask for one for them ;)

The night didn't really end as planned, as Little J ran straight towards the glass window of the restaurant and hit his head. He's been sick since Saturday night :( And I haven't been able to get a good sleep, because I've been checking if the pillows are propped up well for him to breather better—he has the colds, too :(

JJ Turns 2

Little J is turning 2 years old tomorrow.  How time flies!  Can't believe it's been one year since we threw him his first birthday party at Mann Hann in San Juan:

Still Sick

Been sick since I got back, and I have been sleeping with a mask—just to be on the safe side.  Here's a photo of me that Little J took:

I sure am glad Little J has a strong immune system :D

Father's Day Weekend

One of my very good friends, Peewee Reyes-Isidro, threw a birthday party for her daughter Chloe over the weekend.  Little J had a blast, along with my hubby who had a mini reunion with his friends.

Store Check by Little J

Little J only gets to come with me to the store if I get to have the driver of my family or my in-laws.  So, that's really just once in a blue moon... like today :)

Happy Father's Day

I fell in love with this commercial while I was in UK.  This is one of the reasons why I started this blog, so that my son (and future kids) can read through this and know how our life was like with them :D

Friends in UK

Apologies for the one week hiatus.  Our last stop, which was in London, was fully packed.  I'm back now, and recuperating from the flu... sigh!

Anyways, this post is to thank all my "UK" friends for taking care of me and my family.  You made our trip extra special :D

NIKKI GO, my childhood friend ;) Thank you for squeezing us into your house, and for driving us around New Castle and York.

JOHN GONZALES, my new found friend :D Thank you to you and Alex for letting us stay at your beautiful home, and for driving us to Bicester Village. We had so much fun!

DOHN YU, my schoolmate from nursery to college (haha... it's been that long!).  We love the restaurants you recommended.  Keep me posted with you-know-what, you hottie ;)

PAUL TIU, my childhood seat mate (fellow bus rider).  Thank you for touring us around London, and bringing us to my mom's requests :D

MARJ AKIL, my colleague back in Chalk magazine.  It's been 8 long years since we've seen each other!  It was so great to catch up with you.

We all had a lovely time, thanks to all of you.

Arrival at Stockton

Day 2 of UK Trip: First up was breakfast at the apartel

We love their chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate, and brought some of the cookies with us for our trip to Darlington.

I ended my breakfast with banana topped with nutella ;P

The corridor is just a bit narrow for big guys like my brother, but it will do.

Took a cab to  King's Cross Station where we took the train to get to Darlington
