Sunday Birthday

This is a delayed post, been so busy with work that I wasn't able to upload this.  The other Sunday, hubby and I were godparents to Denise Ashley.  We brought the kids to the party proper and JJ had a great time there, while baby JP enjoyed the sweets and the colorful decor/balloons.

Gwynnie's Birthday

Last 2 Sundays ago, we celebrated Little J's cousin's birthday at Nuvali in Laguna.  So, yes, we had a short road trip :)

It's a very beautiful place, but I wouldn't recommend it for the summer.  A nice lake awaited us:

As we waited for our boat ride, I had grilled ensaymada at Conti's. Yum!

And fed the koi's.  There were so many of them!

Here we go!

Once we got back, little J and all his cousins played:

Finally, lunch was ready :D  I had chicken ala kiev that was oozing with melted butter—cholesterol overload :o

Of course, we sang the birthday song to the lady of the day: Gwynnie :)

Such a cute "cake" full of cupcakes!

Little J wore his party hat for only a few minutes hehe...

Birthday Treat

I think I gained 2 pounds today from eating too much today :o After all, who can resist Pancake House?  This was the caterer our friend got for their son's birthday party.


Tell me, how can you say no to these delicious pancake with salty whipped butter goodness? ;)



While hubby and I were feasting, little J had his first hand-painted artwork...



... and had tons of fun playing outside.  Hubby "took him fishing" and won a few prizes too :D

Another Birthday Bash

Tim (Yap) and I went to the same school.  We're childhood friends, and I can vouch that Tim has always been that sweet and friendly boy that we all know today.  So, when he texted that he was throwing his birthday party at Opus, I just had to drop by and celebrate with him.

Along with the program, he called out all the January celebrants (me included) to join him on stage so we can all have a group picture, and for him to greet all of us as well.  How sweet!

I honestly thought we wouldn't stay too long, but we all had fun catching up with friends.
