What a Week :o

A few months back, budding designers Audrey Ednacot and Kato Chua asked me to be one of their muses for their show at Members Only.  Their reason? I was the very first one who featured them, and they wanted to thank me by including me in their show.

I cleared this with my boss, and she gave me the go signal for this.  But as the actual date closes in, I was having second thoughts on joining since I felt I was too old to be part of this hip and young group :o  At the same time, I was too shy to tell these two girls that I won't be able to make it.  So, there... I made it to their event; and I'm sure glad I did, 'coz I was able to catch up with a few friends I haven't seen for the longest time :)

A Fab New 'Do

In between preparing for the Forever 21 Thanksgiving Party, I got to sneak in a haircutting/styling session with my fave stylist, Louis Kee :D   It's been more than 8 months since I last saw him.  I needed a fab new 'do for the event last Saturday night.

I love it that his salon has Wi-Fi—weeee ;)

This is me, after Louis cut my hair.  I never tell Louis what kind of hairstyle I want exactly, just that I want to grow my hair long now...  So, he just gave me volume and layers.  My hair is just too limped now...

Wasn't able to take a photo with my blowdried and styled hair.

Our Little Man

Got little J some PJ's last week, and had them washed.  
It was only last Friday that he got to wear his very first set of PJ's :D

Our baby is now a little man in his cute sleepwear :D
We only got him 7 sets of PJ's, but it seems we might have to buy more if he changes PJ's every night.  Do you think they're only good for one night?  I wear mine for a few nights before I have them washed, but maybe for babies like little J, we should be a bit more careful.  What do you think?

Busy BUSY!!! :o

I've been busy this past week for another baby—Forever 21 Gift Cards are now available :)

Wish: JJ Models

PFW Opening Day was a memorable one, because of the Children's Fashion Show by SM that I attended. Here's the press kit that I got:

All the kids were given a coupon and a Bizu freebie, too :)

The fashion show comprised of about 50 models, with more than 100 children watching the show.  Imagine all of them sitting quietly as they watched the show.   They obviously enjoyed it as much as the adults did :)  To view a clip and photos of the show, and find out who did the finale, click on this link.   

Now, my goal in the next 3-5 years: how to get little J to be part of the show.  I was a child model back in the early '90s.  I sure wish little J can follow in my foot steps... even for just one project hihi... :)  

Who's the Copycat?

Been watching Magkaribal to support my designer friends (both on and off cam).  With Louis Claparols doing cameos and Eric delos Santos' creations being shown almost every episode, I became a follower and a fan of the series. 

For the finale last Friday, the show feature Eric and Frederick Peralta's works, with Erich Gonzales wearing Eric's dress.

Doesn't it look like the cocktail gown I wore to PFW's Cesar Gaupo show? hihi...

PFW Closing Outfit

I know, I know... I was only able to attend the opening and closing shows, but these two shows made the trip to SMX worth it!  Most especially Cesar Gaupo's (Closing Show) that was held on a Sunday :o  I wouldn't miss it for the world ;)

Here's what I wore:

Black tiered tube dress by Eric delos Santos, Prada clutch, and Forever 21 thigh high boots. 

I sat beside Ces Drilon, and was introduced by Metro Home's Carlo Tidiar to her as the Marketing Manager for Forever 21, which lead to a conversation about the brand.  She hopes to check out Love 21 real soon :)  It's been a long while since she last watched a fashion show, and from what she remembers, her last was also by Cesar Gaupo hehe... 

My mom is also a fan, and I do hope to schedule an appointment with him soon.  I'd love to own a Cesar Gaupo dress ;)  To view the video of the show, click on this link.

PFW Opening Outfit

Just want to share with you my outfit for Day 1 of PFW.  I finally got to wear the black chiffon top I bought from Patty Eustaquio ages ago ;) They're not your typical long-sleeve polo—check out the cut-outs :D  I paired it with a pair of fully beaded cream pants, which I got from Izzue in Bangkok.  Wore a black sequined bandeau and platform suede booties from Forever 21.  The clutch was courtesy of Pond's by Aranaz.  Fab press gift, don't you agree? :)

Resto Reco :P

Had one of the most delicious lunches over the long weekend.  It all started out with a text I got from General Manager Larry Cortez of Duo (we featured the resto a few years back in Pink magazine) in Serendra: 

Hi, our UNCLE CHEFFY Bellagio II, Forbes Town Center, Fort Bonifacio, Global City, Taguig City. Telephone Number 659-8030, is now open and we are celebrating for 15 days by giving discounts on all foods and non-alcoholic drinks, 50% Oct 28-30, 40% Oct 31-Nov 2, 30% Nov 3-5, 20% nov 6-11.

So we brought my family last Sunday to Uncle Cheffy:

They kept the interiors clean and bright

First up—Home-made corned beef soup

Then came the beef ribs for P595 for 1 kilo

Love the sauces that they offered; my fave is the herb sauce—I even asked for seconds!

Their buttered garlic rice is so yummy!!!

Dad ordered their rib eye: also very good, with or without their complementary sauce.  It was thinly sliced since we asked for it to be served medium-well.

The Cheese, Cheese and Cheese pizza took a while, because the crew was very meticulous with their dishes. They cooked it the second time for us.

This is how you eat the Panizza: put all the "ingredients" on the sliced pizza

...and wrap it like a "lumpia."  Of course, me being such a garlic herb lover... I added their herb sauce on the pizza :P

Their iced tea is also good, but it has a strong tea taste that others might not like.  Regular is P60, while their bottomless is P80.

Their bestseller for dessert is this frozen chocolate cake with pandan cream.

We also tried their ube cream panna cota. 

Both dishes are (obviously) Pinoy in flavor, refreshing actually!  Click on the photo below to check out their menu :)

Here's little J, being fed by my mom with her order of Mushroom Pilaf.  He's such a growing baby boy—he finished his lunch and wanted more from us haha...  Of course, my parents were more than happy to see him munch on more food ;)

Best news? We got 40% off that day!  Their 40% off is still available until tomorrow.  Happiness!  Here's hoping we get to go there again before their discount offers end ;P
