Hubby got to install the swing I bought for little J over the weekend :D

This would make little J enjoy our "pocket" garden even more :)  Have a great week!

Mommy Goes Shopping

The perks of being an employee of SM is that I get an early pass last night to the Grand Baby Fair by Baby Company.  Held at Megatrade Halls 2 & 3, the place is packed with booths selling products for as much as 70% off!  How can I not buy at all? Check out my purchases :o

And I got my MOM card, too!  You get P1 for every P50 spent.  Not bad, right? :)

The best part of it all?  Little J loves my presents :D  The reclining and adjustable (height) highchair is P1,500 (from P5,000), V-tech Magic Lights Easel is P1,000 (from P2,299), and the musical cloth mat is only P275!

I bought him another toy, and a swing for our pocket garden (P1,200 from P1,600), too!  Will post that soon, once hubby assembles it ;)  There are a lot more good buys, if you have babies who are less than a year old.  Makes me wish I was pregnant hehe...  


Oh, and I got a pair of pillows (the chinese-themed ones) for my parents at P400 each (from P550).  Aren't they cute? 

And I'm not even done yet... I'm just restraining myself :o  

Found this colorful and musical potty seat for only P750, should I go for it? hmmm...

... and this bed frame for only P1,200 (comes in blue also).  The only thing that's stopping me are the side boards.  I think little J might fall off :(

Yes, we're featured in the February issue of Metro, with Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales on the cover.  Although I've worked in the publishing industry for quite some time, it feels different this time.  I've always been behind the camera—interviewing people and producing the magazine.  This time, I was being featured!  How the tables have turned ;)

I am sooooo excited for this coming weekend, because Baby Company will be hosting a 3-day weekend full of fun activities and merchandise that will be offered at discounted prices—as big as 70%!  Definitely worth checking out ;)

Another Birthday Bash

Tim (Yap) and I went to the same school.  We're childhood friends, and I can vouch that Tim has always been that sweet and friendly boy that we all know today.  So, when he texted that he was throwing his birthday party at Opus, I just had to drop by and celebrate with him.

Along with the program, he called out all the January celebrants (me included) to join him on stage so we can all have a group picture, and for him to greet all of us as well.  How sweet!

My Birthday Weekend

I'm not really big on celebrating my birthday, but just thought I'll document what happened over the weekend :)

I didn't file for a leave, too!  I'm not used to NOT working on my birthday. Workaholic much?  Treated the store managers with lunch from Buddy's :D The only shot I have is me with our store manager Vicky and assistant manager Grace...

Had meetings in the afternoon at the store.  We met with our creative agency—such a fun team to work with :)

After work, we had the seafood buffet dinner at Marriot with friends:

Just had to document my outfit :D  

Saturday was a working day for me, spent the morning at the office and went to the store in the afternoon to check on some things.  Celebrated with a "small party" at Opus.

I don't drink, so I just ate and ate haha... we all love their truffled popcorn, which is not in the menu.

Sunday: lunch at Seryna's in Little Tokyo

My birthday "weekend" ended with a delicious mocha cake from Hizon's at my parents' place :)

For someone who wasn't in the mood to celebrate, I think I "celebrated" well haha...
My 32nd year was full of wonderful surprises, and learnings and blessings.  Here's to much more on my 33rd year ;)

A Happy Day For Me :D

Just got home from our company 2010 year end party, and I'm beat.  But before I go to sleep, the whole store peeps sang "Happy Birthday" to me and my boss bought a cake for me ;)

Yummy Buy-1-Take-1

I stumbled upon this Buy 1 Take 1 promo of bread and pastries earlier today, by Cafe France.  Apparently, Delifrance was sold to the Manila Bulletin group.  Thus, the change of name to Cafe France.


Got my hubby and brothers these coffee (P40 each) and chocolate buns (P45 each), and garlic breads (P145 for a whole pack).

Such a steal for its promo!  So, visit Cafe France this week.  Their promo ends Friday, January 14 ;)

Something Red and New

I made sure to wear something new and red (or bright) for the New Year.  I almost forgot about this pair of cute tweed shorts and its matching belt—every girl who saw me couldn't resist complementing on it :D Thanks to my parents for this HK pasalubong ;)

I also wore my Jewelmer pendant and dangling earrings (not in photo), and used my brand new digital camera (in hot pink) that my hubby gave to me for Christmas hihi...  Hope 2011 brings in more blessings like these ;)

Last New Year's Eve Post

After reviewing my photos of Dec.31, I realized how packed our day was.  Proof of that is that I slept around 1:30am, and didn't even go out to celebrate with friends :o  Here's what happened:
